Formatting an academic document properly
Most faculties do not grade your formatting, but they do notice it: a document that follows the conventional settings reads as careful work, while an inconsistent one reads as rushed. The good news is that almost every requirement reduces to five numbers — page size, font size, line spacing, margins and page count — which is exactly what this tool lets you control.
- Page size: A4 (210 × 297 mm) is standard nearly everywhere outside North America, which mostly uses Letter.
- Font size: 12 pt body text is the usual academic default; 11 pt is acceptable for dense reports, and 14–16 pt suits handouts or presentations printed as handouts.
- Line spacing: 1.5 is the classic thesis setting and the easiest to mark up by hand; 1.15 is fine for short submissions, 2.0 when your department explicitly asks for double spacing.
- Margins: 2.5 cm (about 1 inch) on all sides is the safe default — markers need room for comments, and binding needs room too.
- Page count: choose Auto to see how many pages your text needs, or fix the count when the assignment states a limit.
Working with Arabic text
Arabic PDFs generated on the web are notorious for two failures: letters that lose their connections, and words that appear in the wrong order. Both are encoding problems, not language problems. This tool applies proper Unicode shaping and bidirectional ordering with the Amiri typeface, so Arabic comes out connected and correctly directed — including mixed paragraphs where English terms and numbers sit inside Arabic sentences. Select the language option that matches your text before generating, and check the preview.
From plain text to a finished document
- Paste your text — Arabic, English or mixed — and add an optional title that appears at the top of every page.
- Set the five numbers from the list above to match your department’s requirements.
- Optionally attach references: enable Include References, pick APA 7, MLA, IEEE or Harvard, enter your topic, and verified public sources are appended as a reference list.
- Preview, then generate. The PDF is built locally in your browser and downloads immediately — no queue, no upload, no watermark.
Common uses
Lecture notes turned into readable revision sheets, short research summaries, lab reports, meeting minutes, formal letters and applications — anything where you need clean, printable pages instead of a raw text file. If you need a structured research draft with sources first, use the Research Draft Builder; if you are reviewing a worksheet or problem set, use the Study PDF Analyzer.
Privacy
The conversion happens entirely inside your browser: your text is never sent to a server, and the PDF is created on your device. There is no account, no file storage and no watermark — the only thing stored is your language and theme preference, in your own browser’s local storage. See the Privacy Policy for details.
