Frequently Asked Questions

Everything students ask about University PDF.

Is University PDF really free?

Yes. All six tools — Text to PDF, Research Draft Builder, Study PDF Analyzer, Exam Chapters Summarizer, GPA Calculator and University Cost Calculator — are completely free, with no account required.

Are my files or data uploaded anywhere?

Your files, grades and numbers are not: the calculators, Text to PDF and the generated PDFs run entirely inside your browser. For the two AI-assisted features (draft writing and study-file explanation) only the text you type is sent to the AI provider — never your file, your name or any personal data — and nothing is stored on our side.

Does it really support Arabic PDFs?

Yes — properly. Arabic text is shaped and ordered with the Unicode standard, so letters are connected and read in the right direction, even when mixed with English and numbers.

How do I calculate my cumulative GPA?

Open the GPA Calculator, choose Cumulative GPA, enter your current GPA and completed credit hours, then add your new courses. The new cumulative GPA is calculated instantly.

Where do the research sources come from?

The research tool only shows material returned by public sources such as Wikipedia, OpenAlex and Crossref, with links for verification. Nothing is invented — if something cannot be verified, the tool tells you.

Can I upload a study PDF and have it explained?

Yes — choose “Study PDF Analyzer”, upload a PDF or TXT file (up to 8 MB) and its text is read inside your browser. Every question in it is explained with a worked answer, you edit the explanation, then download it as a PDF.

Free university tools for students — in Arabic and English

University PDF is a free suite of five browser-based tools built for university students. Everything runs on your own device: your text, your grades and your numbers are never uploaded, and there is no account to create. The site works fully in Arabic and in English, with correct right-to-left support and clean Arabic in every PDF you generate.

What each tool is for

  1. Research Draft Builder — type your topic and get an editable, structured draft (introduction, sections, conclusion, table of contents) assembled from public, verifiable sources such as Wikipedia, OpenAlex and Crossref, with optional APA, MLA, IEEE or Harvard references. It is a starting point for your own writing: review every section, add your own analysis and cite responsibly.
  2. Study PDF Analyzer — upload a lecture sheet, worksheet or problem set (PDF or TXT, up to 8 MB). The file is read inside your browser and every question in it is explained with a worked answer that you can edit before downloading the result as a PDF. Scanned image-only files carry no text — paste the text into the box and everything still works.
  3. Text to PDF — turn any text into a clean, printable PDF: A4 or Letter, adjustable font size, line spacing and margins, and Arabic shaping that keeps letters connected and correctly ordered.
  4. GPA Calculator — semester GPA or a new cumulative GPA on a 4.0, 4.3, 100% or custom scale, with letter or numeric grades, total credit hours and quality points.
  5. University Cost Calculator — estimate what your remaining credit hours will cost, add fixed semester fees, and calculate your registration payment as a percentage of the required amount, in any currency.

Academic standards every student should know

Grading scales. Universities usually grade on a 4.0 scale (A = 4.0), a 4.3 scale (A+ = 4.3) or a percentage scale out of 100. Check your own faculty regulations before comparing grades with classmates — a 3.6 on one scale is not the same number on another.

Credit hours and quality points. Each course contributes grade points multiplied by its credit hours. Your GPA is the total quality points divided by total credit hours, which is why a high grade in a heavy-credit course moves your average more than an elective. Cumulative GPA simply adds your previous points to the current semester before dividing.

Citation. Most faculties require every quoted or paraphrased idea to carry a reference. APA 7 is common in social sciences, MLA in humanities, IEEE in engineering, and Harvard in business. Pick one style and keep it consistent from the first page to the reference list.

Academic integrity. Submitting work as your own without attribution is treated as misconduct in most universities. Use these tools to learn the material, structure your thoughts and check your calculations — then add your own voice, follow your university’s rules, and reference every source you drew on.

Practical tips that save study time

Privacy in one sentence

Your calculations, your files and your generated PDFs stay in your browser; only the text you explicitly ask an AI feature to work on is sent to the AI provider, and only public academic APIs receive search keywords.
